Repair
Windows in an airplane cabin and cockpit are designed to last throughout the usable life of the aircraft, so damaged transparencies can often be repaired. Our FAA certified mobile technician will travel to your location in southern California, Arizona or Nevada, evaluate the integrity of the transparency and measure the depth of the chip or crack to determine if repair or replacement is needed.
Superficial scratches can often be buffed out with window polishing, which greatly improves the window’s clarity. Haziness or cloudiness due to improper cleaning or age can often be removed with window polishing as well. However, if a crack or chip is too deep, the transparency will have to be replaced.
After completing any needed repairs, your technician will perform another inspection and then provide you with a certificate for the work.
Replacement
If a cabin or cockpit window or windshield has deep gouges, chips or cracks, it will usually need to be replaced. Lee Aerospace’s FAA certified mobile technicians will travel to your hangar in the Van Nuys area, remove the old window, install the new one, complete an inspection and get you back in the air as soon as possible.

Inspection
Before buying or selling an aircraft, schedule a pre-buy inspection with one of our FAA/EASA certified technicians. An inspection can reveal hard-to-see wear and tear and additional damage that could lead to bigger, more costly issues in the future.
A mobile tech can travel to the location of the plane and evaluate the integrity of the windshield, cockpit side windows and cabin windows to ensure that they meet the manufacturer’s acceptable tolerance guidelines. Our team of technicians spans the globe, so we can be anywhere in the world within 24 hours. If any needed repairs are discovered, the technician can complete those as well.
Installation
If you already have a replacement window for your aircraft, we can provide an estimate to have it installed by one of our FAA certified technicians.
