Repair
Airplane cabin and cockpit windows are designed to last throughout an aircraft’s usable lifetime. This means that repairs are often possible for transparencies with cracks, chips and haziness or cloudiness.
Our FAA certified mobile technician will come to your hangar in Mesa or elsewhere in Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Nevada or California. The tech will evaluate the transparency’s overall integrity and measure the depth of chips and cracks to determine whether repair or replacement will be required. In many cases, window polishing will buff out superficial scratches that cause cloudy windows. However, windows and windshields with a deep crack or chip must be replaced.
Your technician will perform a follow-up inspection after the work is completed and you’ll receive a certificate for the repairs or polishing.
Replacement
Windows and windshields with deep cracks, gouges or chips must be replaced. For your convenience, one of our FAA certified mobile technicians will replace the transparency at your hangar in the Mesa area. Your technician will also complete the required follow-up inspection after the new window is installed so you’ll be ready to get back in the air.

Inspection
Before buying or selling an aircraft, we recommend scheduling a pre-buy inspection. One of our FAA/EASA certified technicians will travel wherever the airplane is located and examine the windshield, cockpit side windows and the cabin windows. Our mobile team is located around the globe, so we can dispatch a technician to be at the plane’s location within 24 hours.
Once the inspection is complete, the tech will provide both the buyer and the seller with an assessment of the condition of the plane’s transparencies. This will include the integrity of the windows and whether they are all within the manufacturer’s acceptable tolerance guidelines. Any damage or wear and tear that will require repairs in the future will be noted. If immediate repairs are needed or requested, the technician can complete them on-site as well.
