Repair
Airplane cockpit and cabin windows are designed to last throughout an aircraft’s usable life, so damaged transparencies can often be repaired. Our FAA certified mobile technician will travel to your location in Lincoln or throughout Nebraska, Iowa or South Dakota to assess the issue.
The tech will determine if the crack or chip can be repaired by measuring its depth and evaluating the transparency’s overall integrity. A window with a deep chip or crack will have to be replaced. Window polishing can often buff out superficial scratches and clear cloudiness or hazing, whether it’s due to age or improper cleaning.
Your technician will complete the needed repairs or polishing and then perform another inspection and provide you with a certificate for the work.
Replacement
Windshields and windows that have deep cracks, chips or gouges will have to be replaced. Lee Aerospace provides replacement windows for a wide range of airplane manufacturers. Some of our newest options include CoolView windows and heated windshields. Be sure to ask about their availability for your aircraft.

Before you sell or buy an aircraft, be sure to get a pre-buy inspection by one of our FAA/EASA certified technicians. This gives both buyer and seller an accurate assessment of the condition of the plane’s transparencies. It can also reveal damage or wear and tear that could lead to costly repairs in the future. Our global team is always ready, so you can schedule an inspection anywhere in the world and have a technician there within 24 hours.
For your convenience, a mobile tech will perform the inspection wherever the plane is located.
The technician will examine the cockpit side windows, the windshield and the cabin windows to evaluate their integrity and ensure they’re all within the manufacturer’s acceptable tolerance guidelines. If any repairs are needed, the tech can complete those on-site as well.
Installation
