Repair
Airplane cockpit and cabin windows are made to be used for an airplane’s functional lifespan. If your aircraft has a chipped, cracked, hazy or cloudy transparency, a repair may be possible. For example, window polishing can often buff out small superficial scratches that cause window haziness or cloudiness. If the windshield or window has a deep chip or crack, however, it will have to be replaced.
Our FAA certified mobile technician will travel to your hangar in Houston or elsewhere in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi or Alabama. There, the tech will inspect the transparency, evaluate its overall integrity and measure the depth of any cracks or chips. This information will determine whether repair or replacement is required.
After the work is complete, your technician will perform a follow-up inspection and supply you with a certificate for the polishing or repairs.
Replacement
If your airplane’s window or windshield has a deep gouge, crack or chip, it will have to be replaced. For your convenience, one of our FAA certified mobile repair technicians will travel to your hangar in the Houston area to complete the transparency replacement. After the new window is installed, the tech will complete the required follow-up inspection so you can get back into the air as soon as possible.

Inspection
If you’re considering buying or selling an aircraft, we recommend getting a pre-buy inspection to check for wear and tear or window damage that could lead to costly future repairs. We have mobile aircraft window techs located all over the world, so we can dispatch an FAA/EASA certified technician to arrive at the plane’s location within 24 hours.
Your technician will travel to the airplane’s hangar and then perform a thorough inspection of the windshield, cabin windows and cockpit side windows. Afterwards, the tech will provide an assessment of the overall condition of the plane’s transparencies. Both the buyer and the seller will receive an evaluation of the windows’ overall integrity and whether or not they are within the manufacturer’s acceptable tolerance guidelines. The report will include notes on any damage or wear and tear that will require attention in the future. If any window repairs or transparency replacements are needed immediately, the technician can complete them while on-site.
